Medical Illustrations

Features >>

I recently had an opportunity to visit an eye-hospital in Bangalore. The lobby area was full of posters that the management had put up in order to educate patients and visitors at the institution. This is a great idea except that the images were all photographs. These are imagery that physicians are comfortable with, but gory dissections are the last thing that an anxiety ridden patient wants to see. This is where medical illustrations come in.

EDITORIAL ILLUSTRATIONS

Medical illustrations can be a great way to illustrate your message if you are from the healthcare, pharma or Biosciences industries. Editorial stylisation of medical imagery are ideal to convey a broad overview or a general idea without delving into specific details. Perfect for health & wellbeing articles for your patient's portal or for your product catalog on healthcare products.

Why medical illustrations?

PRODUCT VISUALISATION / TECHNICAL ART

Medical illustrations are also very useful if you are into healthcare manufacturing such as orthopaedic or generic surgical products. Illustrations allow you to show complex cutaways and representations that photographs just cannot.

PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS

Medical conditions are traditionally illustrated through photographs, which sometimes have their limitations. Use high quality illustrations to precisely underline causal conditions in your articles, papers and product brochures. Representative illustrations are perfect if your target audience are laypersons without a technical background in medicine.

ARTIST'S IMPRESSIONS

Artist's impressions are a useful tool for marketing comunications. We use high end 3d visualisation suites to model meshes in excruciating detail. Our artist's impressions are perfect for simulations, representations and illustrative models of real world phenomena.

Here is a magnified image of a single strand of hair. The image is a 3d modeled mesh with postproduction. The reference was obtained from a mangnified photograph and slightly stylised for marketing purposes. The structural integrity is visually correct.

ANATOMICAL STUDIES

Illustrations allow detailed representations of tissue and bone structures without the artifacts introduced by photography. Our illustrators have tremendous experience is developing paintings based on traditional medical textbooks.
